We are looking for an enthusiastic qualitative researcher who is highly self-motivated, proactive and has excellent communication skills.

Experience of qualitative work within a healthcare context and a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant subject are essential.

As the successful candidate, you will work within our team to support the delivery of a qualitative study that aims to explore factors that help or hinder the delivery of hip fracture services.

This forms part of a wider mixed methods study called ‘REDUCE’: Reducing unwarranted variation in the Delivery of high quality hip fracture services in England and Wales, led by Dr Celia Gregson.

The project will be based at the Musculoskeletal Research Unit at Bristol Medical School.

Findings will inform future priorities for hip fracture care and improve the quality of care for patients across the country.

With support from the study team, as the role holder, you will help to organise and conduct one-on-one qualitative interviews with staff at four hospitals in England.

This will include liaising with hospitals, approaching participants, conducting interviews and analysing data.

You will also assist in drafting reports and manuscripts for publication in high-quality peer-reviewed journals.

We are looking for someone with clear evidence of excellent writing skills.
