The Department of History of Art is looking to appoint a full-time lecturer on a 3-year fixed-term contract (to cover for Prof. Beth Williamson while she takes up a Leverhulme Major Research Fellowship).
This is primarily a teaching and administrative role.
Teaching should be research-led, which may include relevant pedagogical research, with a focus within the late middle ages to early modern period.
The successful candidate should also be prepared to contribute to teaching in art historical theory and methodologies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
The person appointed will play an active role in the Department of History of Art and the wider School of Humanities within the Faculty of Arts at Bristol.

Timescale of appointment:
Short-listed candidates will be notified on or around 30th June and invited to an online interview.
They will be asked:
1. to deliver a 10-minute presentation on how they would teach a class to first-year Introduction to Early Modern Art students (delivered online).
2. to supply a sample course syllabus (specifying level) based on their research specialism.
