Teagasc Research Support Officer - (Part-Time) (Temporary) - (Ref: 86)
This research officer will be involved in the project management of the existing APC Microbiome Ireland projects and APC Microbiome Ireland related projects.
The successful candidate will contribute to the project management of the APC’s ‘Microbe Mom’ Industry Spoke, assist in the coordination, writing and submission of Horizon 2020 and national funding agency proposals, preparation of project budgets, and general project management.
The person recruited would need to have exceptional project management and writing skills and be a good communicator with a capacity to organise, manage and prioritise a significant workload, often working to tight deadlines.
Provide day to day support to the management of APC projects, and in particular the Microbe Mom Spoke, at the Teagasc Food Research Centre, Moorepark.
Assist in the coordination, writing and submission of proposals to EU and National funding agencies.
Source data and statistics of relevance.
Coordinate with relevant bodies in relation to attaining ethical approval for trials.
Ensure GDPR compliance.
Participate in Education and Public Engagement activities, and support and encourage staff participation.
Manage APC lab note book assignment, researcher undertakings and other such activities.
- Candidates must have an honours Level 8 degree in science or a related discipline.
- A degree in the Biological Sciences.
- Project management qualification.
- Full Driving Licence.
