Post Doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 (PD1) - Sheep Production Systems (Ref: 27)
Duties & Responsibilities specific to this project:
•Coordinate research on the impact of alternative sheep production systems on farm productivity
•Liaise with other members of the international research team on assessing key predictors of sheep farm productivity.
•Collaborate with industry representatives on the development of a life cycle assessment of sheep production systems.
Additional Duties & Responsibilities:
•To interpret research findings and prepare scientific and popular press publications.
•To disseminate research findings to a variety of audiences as appropriate.
•To assist Teagasc in meeting the commitments of the Quality Customer Service Charter and action plan.
•To comply with all relevant Teagasc policies and procedures.
•PhD in animal breeding, farm system modelling or a related discipline.
•Relevant research experience not to exceed 3 years’ post-PhD.
•Experience in sheep production systems.
•Experience in setting own research agenda.
