Salary: Grade 6, £27,629 - £31,076 / Grade 7, £34,520 - £38,833 per annum
The post holder will play a leading role in a research programme focussed on identifying and characterising genome encoded antiviral defences (interferon stimulated genes/restriction factors). Specifically the aim of the work is to identify novel antiviral host genes and to better understand the viral and host factors that control species-specific replication.
The post holder will also be expected to contribute to the formulation and submission of research publications and research proposals as well as help manage and direct this complex and challenging project, as opportunities allow.
This post is full time and has funding until 31 December 2019 in the first instance.
