As part of an exciting new interdisciplinary collaboration between the University of Bristol and Thales Group, we invite applications for Research Associates in the following areas:
• Multi-agent systems
• Distributed AI
• Decentralised control
• Uncertainty modelling
• Game theory
The aim of our 5-year programme is to find new ways of modelling and architecting hybrid (human-machine) systems that are autonomous, complex and interconnected. The work programme will pursue fundamental research in the context of real-world engineering challenges at Thales: - examples include multi-drone coordination, search and rescue, and future transport systems.
We anticipate that we will fill up to 3 positions, which will be for 2 years in the first instance, with the possibility of extension.
The anticipated start date is January 1st 2018 or as soon as possible thereafter.
